We're taking the time to recognize and remember Chapter members that are no longer with us.

Gary "Nasty" Nastasi

Former chapter member Gary S. Nastasi peacefully left this world on January 8, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Gary lived life on his own terms and was truly larger than life. He had a million stories he wanted remembered, retold, and laughed about for years to come. He was a big, tough guy with a heart of gold, deeply devoted to his family and to those lucky enough to be considered family. Gary was a protector by nature. He took that role seriously, and those who loved him can take comfort knowing he is still watching over them now and always. He liked to be in charge and that strength always came from his heart. One can only imagine him now, offering heaven a few "suggestions", still guiding those he loves from above.

To say Gary loved the outdoors is an understatement. He loved his Harleys, his GTO, his four-wheeler, his snowmobiles, and even his John Deere-machines that matched his spirit and his need to live life fully. He was happiest when he was moving, riding, fixing, helping or simply being outside.

Gary would do anything and everything for the people he cared about, without hesitation or expectation. He thrived on doing things for others, finding purpose in being needed and present.

Gary was predeceased by his father, Salvatore J. Nastasi and his mother, RoseMary (Kite) Nastasi to whom he was devoted beyond measure. Also taken far too early from this world were his beloved nephew and godson, Matthew J. Nastasi and his niece, Ashley M. English-he is on his way to you.
Gary is survived by his sister, Linda English (Scott); his brother, John Nastasi (Maureen); his sister, Teresa Demmon (Ben); his adored nieces, Maria Edwards (Kris), Anna Demmon, Alyssa Demmon and his great-nephews, Owen and Parker Edwards.

A special goodbye goes out to the crew he rode with over the past few years. So many of you stayed connected with Gary through the last part of his journey-through phone calls, coffee, visits, breakfasts, rides and lending a helping hand however you could. It meant more to him than words can express. He left this world knowing just how deeply he was loved. His people were with him every step of the way. Gary would not want tears-he would want the stories told, the rides continued and the laughs shared. Keep riding together knowing Gary is right alongside you in spirit, leading the way.
A special thanks also goes out to Dr. Khadim and his staff along with the compassionate team at St. Joseph's Hospital ICU.

Gary lived life full throttle, loved fiercely, protected his own and left this world knowing he mattered. A big man with a bigger heart, Gary's presence will be felt long after the engines quiet.

Donations in Gary's memory may be made to Smokey Hollow Community, 17 Ronway Drive Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or to the ASPCA at ASPCA.
